Jonathan studied at Chelsea College of Art, London and then spatial design at Kingston University after showing potential and passion for creativity from an early age. After university he built successful careers in retail and financial services, and started teaching himself how to paint in 2011. After encouraging results from entering competitions in 2013/14, he made the decision to pursue developing and experimenting with his art, rather than embarking on a career as a traditional photorealistic painter. He has recently been focused on mark making and colour, resulting in the emergence of a more fluid and intuitive style. Jonathan is currently creating numerous bodies of work, to eventually exhibit in galleries in the future.
